Just near the junction of the 4WD track and the walking track from Tilba Tilba, there are some impressive rock formations that are culturally significant to the local Yuin (Djuwin) people for their healing powers. Yuin people know Gulaga as Mother Mountain. It is an important women’s place, linked to ceremony, childbirth and storytelling. Daramah, the Great Spirit, created the heavens and the earth and all nature, including two people, first a woman, Ngardi, and a man, Tunku. A short and cautious stroll through a boulder garden along the ridge opposite the information board leads to the man and woman boulders, and with a bit of imagination one can identify them both, as well as appreciate the imagery of childbirth among the nearby rock formations. The walk is respectfully done in silence. The access walk from Tilba Tilba takes around an hour; from the top of the 4WD track, about half an hour.
